Dr. David J. Cuccia, Ph.D.
CEO & CTO
Modulated Imaging is a direct result of David’s undergraduate work and doctoral dissertation at UC Irvine, and he is an internationally recognized pioneer and leader in the field of Spatial Frequency Domain Imaging (SFDI). He has successfully secured over $6.5 million in SBIR/STTR grants that facilitated the development of our Ox-Imager™ technology, and has six patents to his name and forty co-authored SFDI publications. Between new inventions, David is a devoted UC Irvine Anteater fan and loves traveling. He’ll even play his saxophone if you ask.
Bruce Tromberg, PhD
Dr. Tromberg is the Director of the Beckman Laser Institute and Medical Clinic (BLI) at the UC Irvine, as well as the principal investigator of the Laser Microbeam and Medical Program (LAMMP), an NIH National Biomedical Technology Research Center. He is a professor in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Surgery, he co-leads the Onco-imaging and Biotechnology Program in UC Irvine’s Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, and has been a member of the BLI faculty since 1990.
Mr. Campbell is a retired executive with extensive experience in healthcare management, private equity investments, financial services, and organizational development. Mr. Campbell has spent considerable time as a private equity investor. Prior to that, he was the President of CSB Oxygen Services and BBCS Oxygen.
Mr. Lunn has over thirty years of early stage capital experience working proven track recording finding, financing, and supporting entrepreneurs. He is currently the Managing Director of Catalina Ventures, a firm that focuses on early-stage companies in technology, life sciences, and other advanced technologies.
