Date Position Available: Immediately
Position: R & D IMAGING ENGINEER – Assist senior members of the team with developing and troubleshooting software for company’s instrument measuring process and data analysis process and to explore and implement new hardware solutions for future improvements to the system. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Develop and direct software systems programming and documentation. Design, develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Store, retrieve and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Prioritize requirements based on business urgency, potential risks and feasibility. Coordinate with business stakeholders to assure solutions comply with business model. Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, and status.
Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards. Produce and review content for user guides and other end user documentation. Develop and direct software systems testing and validation procedures. Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Education/experience must include scientific R & D in the areas of medical image processing. Applicant must have ability to use high and low level programming skills targeting both software and hardware as well demonstrate a general understanding of basic physiological processes while using expertise in image processing to solve challenges in computer vision. Will also accept BS in Biomedical Imaging & Signals in lieu of 5 years related experience or will accept a MS Degree (no exp) Job site/interview Irvine, CA.
